Nick Vespi was born in Miami, Fl in 1995 and is a pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles.

The Orioles selected Vespi in the 18th round of the 2015 draft and he saw all the stops on the O’s farm along the way over 149 games - two years in short-season ball and three years at low Single-A Delmarva. Just when he was ready to make a move up, the season was cancelled in 2020. But after pitching to an ERA of 4.19 between Double-A and Triple-A in 2021, Vespi really elevated his game this year with an ERA of 0.00 for Norfolk over 12 games in 2022.

The Orioles selected his contract on May 17, 2022 from the Tides and he was assigned to wear No. 79 taking the place of lefty Logan Allen who was designated for assignment. Nick made his MLB game debut on May 20, 2022 versus the Tampa Bay Rays, pitching 2 innings of shutout ball (1 Hit, 1 BB, 3 K) and not allowing a run, earning him the Win in is first MLB start.

In December 2022, Nick agreed to play for Team Italy in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
