Kevin Ray Tapani (born February 18, 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who who won 143 games for the New York Mets, Minnesota Twins, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Cubs from 1989 to 2001.

Kevin was a starting pitcher for the 1991 World Series Champion Twins. He started two games in the seven game series (1W/1L). Including Kevin, the Twins had three of the top seven finalists for the Cy Young Award in 1991, the other two were veteran Jack Morris, and Scott Erickson.

During his career, Tapani was the 1991 August AL Pitcher of the Month, the 1993 Sep 12th AL Player of the Week, finished 5th in Pitcher WAR in 1991 AL (6.8), had four seasons in the Top 10 in Wins in the AL, 5 seasons in the top 10 in Starts, and was 3rd in adjusted ERA+ in the AL in 1991.

Kevin's father, Ray, played semipro and minor-league hockey before serving in the US Army in Germany.
