Joe, born Salvatore Persico (b. December 29, 1893 in NYC, NY – d. January 12, 1974 in Yonkers, NY) was a Major League Baseball catcher. He attended the University of California in 1912 and 1913, and played for the New York Yankees in the 1913 season. In 14 career games, he had five hits, two RBIs and a .156 batting average. He batted and threw right-handed.
