playerbio

Jeremy Accardo was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Francisco Giants in August 2003. He pitched in both leagues for the Giants, Blue Jays, Orioles, Indians and A's from 2005 thru 2012. In 2007, he posted a 1.114 WHIP with a 2.14 ERA in 67 innings, recording 30 saves.

While in college with LSU, Jeremy was being considered as either a pitcher or a shortstop, to which he offered "My goal is to do whatever it takes to get there. I know a lot of scouts are looking at me for pitching and some are looking at me for short. It can't hurt, only help, being versatile." - Jeremy Accardo in The Pantagraph (Randy Reinhardt, ISU's Accardo proving he really can pitch, April 18, 2002, Page 15).

Accardo led all Giants minor leaguers with 28 saves in 2004, 27 for the San Jose Giants and one for the Norwich Navigators. He earned his first major league win with the Giants on June 4, 2006, nearly one year after his debut, against the New York Mets.

Since 2017, Jeremy has been a coach in the New York Mets organization.
